The show, co written with Jason Huza and Jeremiah James, is based on the unbelievable true story of a man so eccentric and so devoted that he stole the corpse of his dearly departed girlfriend and lived with her for seven years in the remote coastal island. A romantic comedy musical unlike any other it will make you believe in undying love!

On March 4, 2016 Jill Santoriello debuted music from It Happened in Key West at the Good to Go Songwriter's Showcase, a concert celebrating new works-in-process created or co-created by women writers from around the world.  Selected songs from It Happened in Key West were performed by Stephanie Rothenberg, Jeremiah James and Claybourne Elder.  The showcase was hosted by Amanda Greene, presented by Prospect Theater Company and was held at The Times Center in NYC.
